Bollinger Road is a southern boundary between Cupertino and San Jose. In July 2021 (during the pandemic), Cupertino partnered with San Jose to generate the Bollinger Road Corridor Safety Study. The report proposed two alternatives, including one alternative that reduces lanes on Bollinger Rd.
In the Special Study of Cupertino City Council on 3/19/2024, the Bollinger project appeared on the staff report as a low priority five-year project. Interestingly, this project received many responses from the community. Both alternatives had their support. Please see here for more information.
