On 11/14/2023, the Planning Commission of Cupertino, which works with the General Plan and other considerations, made significant changes to Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) policies. The City Council will vote on those policies in future meetings. The policies being considered could allow up to three ADUs on a single family lot and increase the height limit of ADUs. Please see here for more detail.
